Paula Radcliffe: My husband still hasn't come to terms with my Olympic failure
Women’s world marathon record holder Paula Radcliffe spoke to 5 live about how she and her husband are coming to terms with past Olympic failures and being branded a ‘quitter’.
"I always wanted to be able to finish my career, look back and say I gave my best" said the 41-year-old.
"With regards to the Olympic marathon, I can’t say that."
"I think it’s something which is easier for me to come to terms with and move on, than for [my husband] Gary.â€
"It makes me sad that Gary is so hurt, that he doesn’t see all the other good things that we have in our life."
Radcliffe, who has run the quickest three marathon times by a woman, is taking part in her final 26.2-mile race on Sunday, starting in the mass ranks.
