The Skate Girls of Kabul
"Skate Girls of Kabul" is the latest exhibition of British photographer Jessica Fulford-Dobson. The children in the photographs are all part of Skateistan, an education project set up by Oliver Percovich to teach children from all walks of life to skateboard. About 40% of its members are girls. Until recently women in Afghanistan were banned from participating in sport. Nuala Mcgovern has been speaking to Jessica Fulford-Dobson and Oliver Percovich.
