British bird trainers Rose and Lloyd Buck
If you've ever seen a wildlife documentary with amazing close up footage of a bird in flight, there's a pretty good chance that bird was trained by the married couple Lloyd and Rose Buck. Their house in the west of England is home to dozens of birds - from pigeons to peregrine falcons - many of which they raised and trained from the moment they hatched. When Mattthew Bannister spoke to them from a studio in the city of Bristol, they also brought along one of their film stars - Arnie the starling. Photo: Lloyd Buck
