Scottish Sun Political editor on paper backing SNP
The newspapers are beginning to make their endorsements and one has a particularly interesting split.
The Sun in London said that a vote for the Conservatives is important to 'stop the SNP running the country' while The Sun in Glasgow said you should vote for the SNP.
“They never show us the Irish edition…We have a great deal of self-determination to plough a different furrow,” said the political editor of the Scottish Sun, Andrew Nicholl.
James Naughtie asked him why the paper now backs the SNP when it didn't come down for a Yes vote in the referendum.
“We’re not backing independence we are not backing a second referendum we are backing a heavy presence to speak up with a stronger Scottish voice at Westminster.”
