ATL Remembers.... Glasgowbury 2008

One of the great summer rituals of Northern Ireland took place in the majestic settings of the Sperrin Mountains. It was about live music, local talent and a warm, family feeling. The guy who made it happen was Paddy Glasgow and his festival was called Glasgowbury. There were many highpoints 2000-2013 but the glory year was surely 2008. Ash were the headliners, the audience numbers doubled and the goodwill was off the scale. Naturally, ATL was there and in this special report with Stuart Bailie we reminisce with the core team of Paddy, Stella Glasgow and Dermot McBride, plus Tim Wheeler from Ash, Cahir O’Doherty from Fighting With Wire and music fan Ciara McMullan. Altogether, it’s a fond recollection of the sights, the tunes, the tantrums, the rock action and camp site shenanigans.
