Mandelson: Economic policy was 'hole in a Polo mint'
Labour's Lord Mandelson says his party failed to win the election because its economic policy was like the hole in a Polo mint; missing.
Speaking on Pienaar's Politics, Peter Mandelson said Labour failed to offer voters an "economic policy". Lord Mandelson, one of the architects of New Labour in the 1990s told John Pienaar, "I read the manifesto and there's nothing in it about economic growth ...and there's nothing about the scale of the economic challenges that we face as a country ..it was a big hole in the middle of the Polo mint".
