The number of young people studying game keeping in Gloucestershire has doubled in the past two years.

Hartpury College has reported a surge in interest for their shooting courses, with the sport apparently becoming more open to people from different backgrounds.

Game keeping lecturers in the county say the trend is moving away from clay pigeon shooting towards game shooting and vermin control.
