Mum: 'Fantastic' firefighters saved my 'blue' baby's life
A new mum has praised the “fantastic” firefighters who saved her baby son, who had turned “blue” from choking on milk.
Three-week-old Thomas, who was born six weeks premature, was in the car with Wigan mum Francesca Lowe and her five-year-old daughter when he stopped breathing.
Francesca turned into nearby Leigh Fire Station for help: where the firefighters “dived” into action to help him cough up the milk.
The 40-year-old told 5 live she had since been reunited with the firefighters, and brought them presents to say thank you.
