Call For Fight on Bacteria
What can done about the growing number of bacteria that are becoming resistant to antibiotics? It's a global problem - and one that could costs the lives of tens-of-millions in the future unless the right approach is taken now. Thats the conclusion of a new report commissioned by the British government with one of the key recommendations being the formation of a sizeable international fund so that drugs companies can develop new low-cost antibiotics to tackle the "superbug" infections of tomorrow.
