Darrell Clarke: Bristol Rovers Football League return 'amazing'
Bristol Rovers manager Darrell Clarke says his side鈥檚 return to the Football League after a single season on the Football Conference is an 鈥榓mazing鈥� feat. Rovers defeated Grimsby Town 5-3 on penalties.
Darrell Clarke鈥檚 Bristol Rovers side defeated Grimsby Town 5-3 on penalties, having played out a 1-1 draw.
They became the first side in 10 years to return to the Football League at the first attempt.
鈥淔or us to get back in the first year was amazing,鈥� said Clarke.
鈥淚鈥檓 really pleased for our supporters, they鈥檝e had a real tough time of it.
鈥淥bviously, a lot of Bristol Rovers fans going to work with Bristol City fans who have had a fantastic season and getting a lot of stick, now we can have our moment,鈥� he said.
