Zakir Hussain: Mixing Indian and Celtic folk music
When it comes to Indian classical music, Zakir Hussain is one of the biggest names around. He started playing drums at a very young age - in fact his father was the tabla player for the legendary sitar player Ravi Shankar. He mixes classical Indian music with other styles, and is playing in an Indian Celtic fusion gig at London's Royal Festival Hall. He explains how the two different folk traditions come together.
