Kevin Kilbane tells us what happens to a relegated side
What happens to the players and staff of the teams relegated from the Premier League? Kevin Kilbane was relegated twice during his career while playing for Sunderland AFC and Hull City. Speaking on the 'Monday Night Club', Kevin talks about his experience of being relegated.
“There was a knock on effect around the team; players who you become very close to, people working in the canteen, people washing the kit […] were all losing their jobs” said the 38 year old.
“These are the people who are at risk when a club gets relegated”.
“If you have two kit men on the side then all of a sudden one kit man has to go”.
