Extremists tried 'to draw me into these ill ideologies'
A young Muslim scholar says he declined attempts by extremists to draw him into their "ill ideologies".
Rehan Ahmed Raza said he a decade ago he was studying in Syria when he was approached by individuals with London accents.
"They started emotionally trying to draw me into their ideology - I understood that this path was actually wrong,” said Raza. “Islam does not allow us to go and fight for these type of causes".
"It creates more division within the community and creates a bad name for Islam. Islam is based on peace, love and harmony,” he added.
