Lawson singer: Liver failure 'a matter of life or death'
Lead singer of band Lawson, Andy Brown, says his liver failure “was a matter of life or death”.
Brown, who named the band after a surgeon who previously performed life-saving surgery on a separate brain tumour, said the liver failure came while recording the band’s second album.
“I was getting iller and iller and iller,” he said. “My skin turned yellow, I lost a lot of weight.”
“They put me on these steroids. It just started to regenerate and regenerate and after a few weeks I started to feel myself again. I feel so lucky really,” he added.
