The Financial Times recently published a list of the World's 50 Leading Business Pioneers. The six judges delved deep into history - and cast their net worldwide, in response to a long list inspired by hundreds of nominations from FT readers.

But it was, in the judges' words, a Herculean task.

Heather McGregor, CEO of the executive search company Taylor Bennett, writes the Mrs Moneypenny column for the FT, she was one of the judges and told us why so few women made the final list.
