Fifa won’t remove ‘stain’ from deaths in Qatar
Former England international, Trevor Sinclair, believes that Fifa will not be able to remove the “stain” caused by deaths of the migrant workers who are building the Qatar 2022 World Cup stadia.
Speaking about the allegations against Fifa, he told 5 live’s George Riley that migrant workers are dying by their thousands, that the situation is unacceptable, and that they are living in squalor.
When asked whether he would he have played in that World Cup if he was still playing for England, Sinclair replied that he wouldn’t want to as it "would put blood on my hands".
