Frankie Dettori, taking part for the first time in four years, won the Derby on favourite Golden Horn.

Dettori was riding for the first time in the race since returning from a six-month drugs ban two years ago.

"I can't believe it, I won the Derby," he said.

"In the last 50 yards I went into a shock state, I really could not believe I had won the Derby, everything was so smooth.

"It went like clockwork."

When asked to put into words how it felt to win the race, Dettori responded, "I was going to say it was better than sex but my wife might tell me off!"
