English 18-year-old qualifies for the US Open
Despite still being a teenager, Sam Horsfield has qualified for next week’s US Open, making him the youngest ever Englishman to do so.
Speaking to George Riley, the 18-year-old said “it was a great feeling to qualify for the event”, and emphasised that despite qualifying for the tournament, he is just a normal kid:
“I go to the park three or four times a week, play basketball and go to the movies. I’m just a normal kid that happens to play golf", he said.
