Steve Cram on Bislett and the Dream Mile
30 years ago retired British track and field athlete Steve Cram broke the world mile record in Oslo. Speaking to Allison Curbishley, Steve tells us why the Bislett Games are so special and whether he feels proud or sad that his record is yet to be broken.
“Our sport is about winning medals and winning championships, and measuring yourself [..] against the past and the history” said the 54-year-old.
“To be part of history is a great thing.”
