Why print copies of Wikipedia?
Traditionally encyclopaedias stored knowledge, in dozens of neat volumes. But the sum of knowledge available digitally on Wikipedia is much larger. Artist Michael Mandiberg is printing out parts of Wikipedia to show just how much knowledge it holds: that’s around 7,473 volumes and 5.4 million pages. The exhibition is about to open at the Denny Gallery in New York.
