A mother who thought she would struggle to conceive says her "jaw hit the floor" when she discovered she was expecting quadruplets.

Four month old Amelia, Sofia, Aston and Roman were conceived naturally and are non-identical as each came from a different egg. The odds of natural quads are about 700,000 to one.

Katalina Martin, who was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and worried about her fertility, said she "cried for about two weeks" in shock after her first scan.

"It can be quite hard to conceive so the fact we even found out I was pregnant was quite shocking, but to be pregnant with four - you couldn't write it, it just doesn't happen," she said.
