Booker Prize-Winning Author Funds Other Writers
Established novelist Thomas Keneally returned a Lifetime Achievement cash prize to the Australian Council for the Arts, so it could help less established authors. Ashley Hay benefited from this generosity to help fund her next novel. The two writers sat down to discuss the financial challenges of their profession.
