Maria Sharapova鈥檚 grunting became louder of the years and is now too much, according to 蜜芽传媒 5 live tennis summariser Jill Craybas. American Craybas faced Sharapova in the 2007 French Open.

鈥淚t鈥檚 weird too, because when I played her I felt like the shrieking鈥�I was waiting for the ball to come really, really fast at me," Craybas said.

鈥淏ecause it was such a high shriek, my expectation was already to move backward, and then all of a sudden I wasn鈥檛 even at the ball.

"You鈥檙e expecting this ball to come so hard.

鈥淚 think it鈥檚 a little bit deceiving if you haven鈥檛 played her before, and I think it can throw you off a little bit at the beginning.鈥�
