Alexi Lalas reveals what lies in store in the MLS for Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard
Alexi Lalas was the LA Galaxy General Manager when David Beckham joined the club in 2007 and has told the two players they will be under immediate pressure in the LMS.
On Steven Gerrard he said: "He's inevitably going to be compared and contrasted on and off the field to David Beckham."
He has also warned Frank Lampard that he has to hit the ground running following his late arrival at New York FC after his elongated loan spell Manchester City last season. Lalas stated: "It's all problems of their own making. The way the club handled it, the way Frank handled it. Now he's got to perform."
