A letter from a woman to her absent husband, written 4000 years ago
A clay letter from Anatolia in the 19th Century BC reveals surprising detail of the challenges ancient women faced when their husbands left home for long periods to trade. This excerpt is read by Dr Cecile Michel of the International Association for Assyriology.
