Stiliyan Petrov: My lowest moment in cancer battle
Former Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov has opened up about the "lowest moment" of his battle with cancer.
The ex-Celtic and Bulgaria midfielder, who in March 2012 was diagnosed with acute myloid leukaemia, said at times he felt he was "dragging back" his family.
"The wife, the kids - I couldn't get up with them, they couldn't see me for a year," said Petrov. "They could only see me for a couple days and months."
"I couldn't fulfill what I want - always to be a good husband and a good father. That was being taken away from me," he added.
