Women 'historically less good' at asking for pay rise
The Editor-in-Chief of British Vogue Alexandra Shulman says “women are historically less good at confronting people over the question of pay”.
Shulman said the pay gap between genders, which stood at 9.4% in April 2014, was "patently a problem”.
”I often find when people come to talk to me about pay they start off saying I’m sorry to bring this up. Whereas of course you’re absolutely entitled to bring up a question about pay.”
“I think in my own area there isn’t nearly as much differential,” she added.
