Pendleton: First race was like school sports day
Victoria Pendleton hopes to be competing at the Cheltenham Festival next year.
The 34-year-old is attempting to forge a new career in horse racing after retiring from cycling in 2012.
Pendleton finished 8th on her racing debut in a charity race earlier this month.
She said: "My first race was a bit like doing sports day at school and Cheltenham is like doing the Olympics. So there is a lot between those two experiences. Hopefully I'm going to get plenty of racing opportunity that will hopefully put me in good stead."
