Kelly Sotherton: I expect Ennis-Hill to go for gold
Former British heptathlete Kelly Sotherton has told 5 live Sport that she expects Jessica Ennis-Hill to go for gold at next month's IAAF World Championships in Beijing.
Speaking to Mark Pougatch, the Olympic bronze medalist insisted that it's not too much of a jump for Ennis-Hill to make so soon after returning to the sport.
Sotherton said: "I expect Jess to go for gold, I don't think she'd want just any medal."
"With four more weeks to go I expect her to take things up another notch," she added.
"She's sent out a big message to the rest of the heptathlon fraternity to say 'I'm back'. I don't expect her to go to Beijing for anything less than a gold."
