The human rights group Amnesty International is facing a difficult decision on Tuesday: should it endorse the decriminalisation of prostitution? The question is up for vote at Amnesty's International Council Meeting, which is already underway in Dublin. Amnesty has come under a huge amount of pressure - from politicians, celebrities and former prostitutes (four of whom we hear from) - to reject the proposal.

Google's co-founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, have separated the core internet business from many of its other concerns. All under the umbrella of the new company, Alphabet. What does this mean and why does it matter? Amir Efrati, senior reporter at theinformation.com, explains.

The Governor of Colorado, John Hickenlooper, today issued an Executive Order declaring a state of disaster emergency. Up to three million gallons of contaminated water from the abandoned Gold King mine has leaked into the Animas River.
