Stem cell donors needed
Delete Blood cancer are calling for more people of mixed race heritage to register to be blood stem cell donors to highlight the plight of a two and a half year old girl with cancer. Elsie Kumar's chances of finding a match are more slim than others because her mother is white and her father is Asian. You need the best possible genetic match for a chance to fight the disease. It follows calls for more people from BAME communities to register as they only have a 20 percent chance of finding a suitable donor. Sheetal Parmar reports.
