'Are you ok?' Three words teen used to save a man's life
A trip to a local shop turned 16-year-old Jamie Harrington into a hero after he helped save a man in distress with the words "are you ok?"
Speaking to 5 live Breakfast, Jamie said he knew something was wrong from the look on the man's face.
"He was sitting looking into the river on the edge of the bridge, I said, look, you're gonna have to come down off the wall and talk to me", he said.
The pair sat talking on the footpath of the bridge for 45 minutes before Jamie persuaded the man to go to hospital and seek treatment.
Jamie has been in contact with the unnamed man since the incident and has recently found out the man has decided to name his new baby boy after the teen.
