Joey Barton: 'The best player is sitting in the stands. Me!'
Current free agent Joey Barton doesn't think much of the playing quality at Bournemouth v Aston Villa.
The 32 year-old, has been without a club since being released by QPR at the end of last season was summarising on the game for 5 live Sport and commented, Judging by this game today, it won't be long before I'll be getting a phone call from somebody."
Barton added, "I'm close to agreeing something with somebody, hopefully that can be sorted out in the next week."
Villa won the game 1-0 with Rudy Gestede scoring the decisive goal on his debut for the club.
