Free flowing runner
Just before Kiran Gandhi ran her first-ever marathon, she started her monthly period. After training for a year, she didn't want to miss out. She was worried that running wearing a tampon or sanitary pad would be uncomfortable. So she chose to run without any sanitary protection, letting the blood gradually show through her running gear. She explained to Jamie Coomarasamy why she took that decision.
