Met detective fears police interfered over abuse investigations
A former MP has accused police of a "homosexual witch hunt" over claims he was involved in child abuse and murder.
Harvey Proctor said "false" claims had "wrecked" his life.
Clive Driscoll, a former chief inspector in the Metropolitan Police, said police “weren’t listening as carefully as we should have been” to concerns of vulnerable people.
“I have a fear that there was interference at ACPO [Association of Chief Police Officers] level,” he added.
