Closed frontier: where Russia and America meet

President Obama is in Alaska this week and will attend a conference on climate change and the future of the Arctic, with Russia's military build up in the region high on the agenda.

At the closest point, two islands - one Russian, one American - are barely two miles apart. Humphrey Hawksley was given rare access to the Eskimo community on the American island of Little Diomedes.
