Danny Murphy's Saido Berahino moment
As striker Saido Berahino unsuccessfully tried to force a move from West Brom to Tottenham on transfer deadline day, Danny Murphy reveals his story of pushing for a switch.
Berahino suggested he will never play for the Baggies again under chairman Jeremy Peace, after the West Midlands side turned down a fourth bid for him from Spurs.
鈥淚 said something similar to a chairman and a manager once,鈥 said former England international Murphy.
鈥淚 felt I鈥檇 been really harshly dealt with鈥 and "basically said the same thing (as Berahino) in a bit of a huff, but I did get my move.鈥
鈥淚 was made to sign a form when I left (which meant) I couldn鈥檛 talk about what had gone on.鈥
鈥淭hese are the types of things that happen. That鈥檚 why I鈥檓 loathed to jump on the band wagon and cane him,鈥 added the 38-year-old.
