'Why I do my kids' homework'
A parent says she does her children's homework so they have more time to spend time with the family and friends.
The parent, who did not wish to be named, said it reduced homework time from "about three hours to about 45 minutes", meaning her children could spend more time with their friends and family.
She was speaking on the day the Association of Teachers and Lecturers told 5 live that it has serious concerns about the amount of homework some children are set. The teaching union says it's particularly worried about primary pupils.
It believes that many parents do their children's homework for them and that both primary and secondary students need a break from learning at the end of the day.
