We hear from Alex Woods who has played alto sax with Worcestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra, the Midlands Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Fat Chops Big Band and now plays in New York
Alex Woods from Redditch started his playing in a number of youth orchestras. Since then he has studied in Birmingham, Paris and the Manhattan School of Music. We catch up with his progress as he plays in New York with the hope of staying in the US for a while. He also tells us about a trip he is planning for members of the Worcestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra.
