Blunkett's warning to Labour MPs over Corbyn policies
Former Labour ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Secretary David Blunkett has warned his Labour colleagues to make sure they are "comfortable" with Corbyn's policies before accepting jobs in the shadow cabinet.
"I would say to some of my colleagues...you really do have to work out for yourself whether you've reached a deal which means that within your portfolio and with the broader policy you are comfortable with the direction of travel because you have to defend it day in day out".
Mr Blunkett says Corbyn's election has energised the Labour party and he will continue to support the party but conceeded if he was still in the shadow cabinet he wouldn't join Corbyn's team as "I'm not on the same page in terms of modernity and policies for the future".
