Microsoft scientist: 'I have an automated assistant'
A Microsoft Distinguished Scientist who is behind a major study into Artificial Intelligence says he has an automated assistant outside his door.
Managing Director of Research Eric Horvitz told Rhod Sharpe on 5 live Up All Night that it "Brings together speech recognition and reasoning about my schedule and making decisions about people and their intentions when they walk up and can engage in a smart dialogue of the form that you'd almost expect from a human assistant."
