How a German Emigrant Feels About Syrian Immigrants
Stephanie Friedhoff left her home country of Germany by choice. Now, from the United States, she’s seeing photographs of Syrian asylum seekers who left their homes by necessity. She’s proud of her country for welcoming them. But she’s also wary of the history of Germany, where outsiders haven’t always been so warmly received.
