Russell Martin on scoring just hours after son's birth
Norwich City's captain Russell Martin told 5Live's Afternoon Edition he had the "best of both worlds" after watching his son being born early Sunday morning and then scoring against Liverpool that afternoon. Russell says he had to leave "fairly soon" after his wife gave birth and got on a plane to fly up to the match. He told Dan Walker and Sam Walker that he didn't get any sleep at all but the "adrenaline was carrying him through the last twenty minutes" of the match.
