The billions wasted rebuilding Afghanistan
John Sopko is the US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction - the man who reports on the US aid and reconstruction programmes in post-war Afghanistan. He says a lack of local knowledge and planning has led to billions of dollars being wasted in rebuilding public health services and the fight against narco-trafficking and corruption.
