Moritz: Pay footballers more than hedge fund managers
Sir Michael Moritz, co-author of Leadership with Sir Alex Ferguson, says footballers are undervalued compared to hedge fund managers.
Welsh-born Moritz, an early investor in some of Silicon Valley's biggest names, including Google Linkedin, Yahoo and Whatsapp, said footballers deserved “a lot more”.
“It makes absolutely no sense to me that an incredibly talented midfielder for Swansea City gets paid less than some 27-year-old punk who can manipulate an Excel spreadsheet and works in the lower realm of a hedge fund", he said.
