Tom Watson: Labour free vote on Trident 'likely'
Labour MPs are likely to be allowed to vote with their consciences on Trident, according to their deputy leader Tom Watson.
Speaking on Pienaar's Politics on 5 live he said there was "likely to be a free vote" on the issue, although the shadow cabinet had not yet made a decision.
Mr Watson made it clear he was on a collision course with Jeremy Corbyn on the issue.
After the Labour Leader said he would do his "persuasive best" to get Labour to back scrapping the weapon, Watson told 5 Live "Jeremy says he seeks to persuade us - I seek to persuade him too".
