Dorothy Goodman's #IAIM Campaign
When you were younger, you probably had a good idea what you wanted to be 'when you grew up'...
Now, imagine if you'd have felt as ambitious if you were coming to terms with your own mental or physical disability. At Dorothy Goodman School in Hinckley, they cater for pupils aged between 3 and 19 years with a wide range of learning disabilities from Autism to Cerebral Palsy, Down's syndrome to ADHD and everything in-between. They recently began a new campaign called #IAIM which hopes to raise awareness of the ambitions of their students, whether that's being independent of their wheelchair or even scoring a goal at Wembley! They're also set an initial fund raising target of £25,000 which will go directly to continued improvements of facilities, equipment and opportunities for their students.
