Pakistan Earthquake: 10 years on
Hear the powerful story of a British Kashmiri woman who ten years ago travelled to Pakistan to rescue relatives who had been injured or made homeless by the earthquake. Shabnam Shafi felt compelled to go to the remote villages around Muzafarabad despite opposition from family and friends who felt it was too dangerous. Our reporter Shabnam Mahmood travelled out to Pakistan with Shabnam Shafi at the time. The mum of two, who now lives in South Yorkshire, lost around 35 relatives in the quake.
