Gary Speed's father: 'I am a proud, proud man'
The father of the late Gary Speed, Roger, says he is 鈥渕ade up for Chris Coleman and his Wales players on achieving qualification for Euro 2016, the country鈥檚 first major tournament since 1958."
Coleman took the Wales manager鈥檚 job in January 2012, two months after Speed鈥檚 death.
Speed鈥檚 father also recalled an emotional moment prior to their qualifier against Israel last month.
鈥淚 was in tears, they were singing the national anthem 鈥 and I鈥檓 English,鈥 he said. 鈥淭hen Gary鈥檚 favourite song, Can鈥檛 Take My Eyes Off You. If you can鈥檛 win with those supporters behind you there鈥檚 something wrong.鈥
