'Under Clough, we felt invincible'
"Absolutely no doubt" is the reply when Trevor Francis is asked if Brian Clough was the best manager he ever played for.
Francis signed for Clough's Nottingham Forest in 1979, and broke transfer records in doing so - he became the first million pound player in England.
"I always felt that with Brian Clough there, we were as players and a team invincible. It's a wonderful feeling to have" said Francis.
But, Francis admits that playing under Clough wasn't always plain sailing. He says his former boss could be unpredictable, "what you didn't want to do was get on the wrong side of him because he could be ruthless, and he had a lethal tongue".
